Sue graduated from Winchester School of Art in 2004 with a BA (Hons) in Printed Textile Design. As a Textile Designer texture and colour are vitally important aspects of my work, she explains "I paint using the same dyes as I use in my fabrics, as they create intense saturated colours, unpredictable in the way they blend.

The paintings have been inspired by study trips to Florence and the surrounding Tuscany region, where the earthy colours of the architecture and iridescent light have informed the pieces."
