Kate works very freely in watercolour, with the minimum of compositional drawing; this gives the paintings an unpremeditated look, which attempts to express the beautiful but transitory nature of the subject matter- fruit, flowers and vegetables.

Kate started her career as a floral textile designer before developing her painting and illustration skills. She is a member of Great British Watercolours, a Sussex based group of watercolour artists who have all exhibited nationally and internationally.
